Gender Affirming Services

Initial Visit

Dr. Kazia Parsons will discuss your past history and gender identity as well as any previous treatments, procedures, and your current goals for transition. You will then discuss different treatment options, if appropriate, Dr. Parsons will answer any questions you may have. If you and Dr. Parsons decide to start treatment at the initial consultation, labs for your follow-up visit will be pre-ordered at the lab of your choice. We require lab work to be completed 1 week before your follow-up visit so Dr. Parsons can discuss the results with you and make adjustments as needed. If you aren’t sure that medical transition is right for you, Dr. Parsons is happy to discuss the details with you in full and answer any questions you may have at this call.

Follow-up Visits

Dr. Parsons will discuss your progress and how you are feeling about your transition. You will also discuss labs and any changes recommended. Remember every journey is unique and Dr. Parsons will work as your trans health services partner to achieve your transitional goals.

At AffirmHealth, we hold a deep respect for all of our patients and the value of their time. Consequently, we are committed to commencing and concluding appointments punctually. If for any reason during your visit, you and Dr. Parsons decide more time is needed, we can assist you with setting up an additional appointment. Additionally, while we understand that life happens and unexpected things can occur, in the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that it be done so at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time. This is to ensure other patients can have access to this appointment and ensure all patients have the opportunity to be seen. In the event of a cancellation, reschedule, or no-show under 24 hours before your appointment, you will be charged the full amount of the visit to the payment method on file.
