Hey there! I’m Dr. Kazia Parsons (she/her/hers), founder of AffirmHealth, where I’m dedicated to offering inclusive, personalized care for transgender/gender-nonconforming individuals, the queer community and all those who have felt unheard or dismissed in a traditional doctor’s office.
After seeing how many healthcare settings prioritize patient volume over meaningful, individualized care, I wanted to create a space where you are truly heard and supported. At AffirmHealth, we take time to focus on your unique needs, whether that’s gender-affirming care or medication-assisted weight management informed by the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES), emphasizing health and well-being over a number on the scale.
My practice is rooted in respect, compassion, and trust. I believe in providing you with consistent, ongoing support to make your health journey a positive and empowering experience.

Since I started practicing, one of my guiding principles is forming a collaborative partnership with each human. I believe in working together as a team, where patients are active participants in their own healthcare decisions. Your voice matters, and I’m here to listen, respect your preferences, and support you on your journey. I love to create customized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs and identities of each patient. I firmly believe that everyone deserves personalized care, and I strive to make each patient’s experience tailored to their individual circumstances. This is also why I am dedicated to ongoing transgender health and primary care education and staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field, ensuring that my patients receive the highest quality of care possible.
