Founded by Dr. Kazia Parsons, AffirmHealth is committed to providing comprehensive gender-related care for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. We prioritize inclusive transgender healthcare and empowerment and offer unwavering support and respect to the LGBTQIA+ community. We foster collaborative partnerships with patients, encouraging their active participation in decision-making processes throughout their customized transitional journey. We value continuity and trust by keeping patients with a single doctor throughout the entirety of their medical care for ongoing support and guidance.
Through telehealth, we aim to bridge the gap in access to specialized care. We understand that access to this type of care is incredibly challenging, particularly for individuals in Texas. By utilizing the advances in telemedicine, our goal is to increase access for patients across Texas, and create a safe, collaborative, and affirming space that is also convenient and reliable. Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive transgender healthcare environment where patients feels understood and affirmed, ensuring they are not just heard and seen but truly validated. We also value continuing education in the latest research and standards of care for gender-related medicine so that patients can be assured they are receiving the highest level of care possible. Dr. Parsons is the BEST!! Mandy her Med assistant is awesome too! I normally go to the other office she was at, but did not hesitate to follow her! Dr. P is professional, she’s compassionate, she’s down to earth, she makes you feel human and she’s welcoming! She’s very knowledgeable and loving!

I waited months to get in for an EMG appointment (after waiting months to see the neurologist for an initial consult). My EMG was cancelled the day before and had to be rescheduled for FOUR months from now. The reason I’m seeing the neurologist in the first place is for chronic, severe nerve pain, so now I’m supposed to just deal with it for another 16 weeks?? Apparently whoever does the EMG’s can only do them on Tuesdays for whatever reason and if they’re sick I guess everyone who has an appointment with them is screwed? This is absolutely unacceptable. If you are unable to provide a service in a reasonable time frame then hire more staff who can perform that service or don’t offer it at all. If you’re booking four months out for these appointments then obviously the demand is there. I will be finding another neurologist because I do not trust that by waiting another four months I will actually be seen and have my problem solved. I’m so incredibly disappointed.

Terrible experience. The time at the front desk was 100% fine and okay! Helpful and quick. My doctor on the other hand, doctor Adib, thank you so so SOOO much for sending me home even more clueless!!! I’ve been trying to see a gastroenterologist for months and to be let down like this is the absolute worst, I was excited to be better!! I appreciate him doing the absolute bare minimum to help me out with my issues. I went to him in hopes of getting to move SOME direction to solve my problem but no, I’m right back at square one. He asked me some questions, not great questions for sure. Dr.Adib seemed confused with the answers I provided him and couldn’t try and tell me what it may be, I was expecting some tests to get done, maybe some progress to get made but instead he talked to me for about 30 minutes and diagnosed me without any real reasoning to back up your diagnosis. I gave him one small detail and after that small detail, that was it, I have that syndrome. I expect so so much more from an individual that went to school for YEARS to try and help others. Thanks for nothing! I won’t be coming back here and I definitely won’t recommend this location to any individual in the future! To everyone else though, have a great day 🙂
